1. Product Overview
1. The silicon ladle transport trolley is mainly used for transporting high-temperature liquids such as molten iron and molten steel. Ensuring safe transportation while maintaining basic performance is the top priority in the design of this trolley. With social development and increasing environmental requirements, we recommend using a low-voltage rail power supply silicon ladle transport trolley. The silicon ladle is placed on the transport trolley, which moves it to dock with the pouring machine. The pouring machine tilts to pour the silicon liquid. The ingot mold uses a combined mold, which moves using low-voltage power supply to achieve precise pouring and centralized smoke collection.
2. The low-voltage rail power supply electric trolley is powered by a 36V single-phase (or three-phase) rail sliding contact line. The ground step-down transformer control cabinet steps down single-phase (or three-phase) AC 380V to single-phase (or three-phase) 36V, which is fed to the trolley via the rail sliding contact line. Then, the onboard step-up transformer boosts it back to single-phase (or three-phase) AC 380V to power the trolley's single-phase motor.
3. Since no cables are used, it is safe and reliable, resistant to heat and impact, does not obstruct cross-transportation, and easily enables remote control and automation, greatly facilitating factory transport layout.
2. Operation Process and Advantages
1. Operation Process:
(1) Staff place the silicon ladle onto the silicon ladle transport trolley using a gantry crane hook;
(2) Use the remote control to operate the silicon ladle transport trolley to move the silicon ladle onto the silicon ladle tilting machine;
(3) According to needs, control the lifting hydraulic cylinder via remote control to allow the silicon liquid to flow out from the silicon ladle through the silicon liquid trough to the moving ingot mold;
(4) The silicon liquid trough can move forward, backward, upward, and downward according to the tilting angle of the silicon ladle to ensure the silicon liquid always falls into the trough regardless of the tilt angle.
(5) There are multiple ingot mold positions, each trolley operates independently, can be controlled remotely or manually, and each remote control can operate multiple trolleys.

3. Product Refining
The method to control impurity content in industrial silicon is through raw material charging and product refining treatment.
There are two refining methods for industrial silicon: chlorination refining and oxygen refining.
Oxygen refining is simpler to operate, the refining equipment is easier to manage, costs are low, and it is environmentally friendly.
Impurities such as Al, Ca, P, Ti can be reduced by refining; with good refining, over 70% of Al and Ca can be removed.
The following mainly introduces the oxygen refining method.
Oxygen refining removes impurities through oxidation reactions, a form of selective oxidation. Under the same oxygen pressure and temperature, calcium has the highest affinity for oxygen, followed by aluminum, then silicon, and iron the weakest. Therefore, the oxidation reaction order is the same. Since silicon's activity a=1, its oxidation protects iron from being oxidized and removed.
